This site is static: there is no sign-up, no login, no form and no database. I do not ask you for personal data and I do not store any.
The music you load never leaves your machine. In the sub cutter, decoding, analysis, filtering and WAV writing all happen in your browser. The audio is never uploaded to any server — not to mine either.
Fonts (Google Fonts). Your browser downloads the typefaces from Google's servers to render the page. Google therefore sees your IP address and basic browser details. If you want to avoid that, the fonts can be downloaded and served alongside the page — the project readme explains how.
Hosting (Cloudflare). The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web server it may log requests for operational and security reasons (IP address, timestamp, requested page). I do not run any separate analysis on those logs.
The number at the bottom of the page is a simple visitor counter. It counts one visitor per day, regardless of how many pages you open or how often you reload.
I do not store your IP address. To make sure the same visitor is not counted twice, the IP is turned into an irreversible short hash using a salt that changes daily, and only that is stored — those entries are deleted the next day. It cannot be traced back to you and it is not linked to anything else.
Your browser keeps a marker noting that you have already visited today. That stays on your machine and disappears when you clear your browser data.
Running the site costs money, so advertising may appear on it over time. Deliberately restrained: one labelled ad slot per page, in a fixed position. No pop-ups, no full-screen interstitials and no sticky banners.
Where ads are active they are served by Google AdSense, which may use cookies and similar identifiers. In the European Economic Area, personalised advertising requires your consent — you can give or refuse it in a consent dialog, and change it later at any time.
For how Google uses data for advertising, see policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Whatever stays in your browser (your settings, for example) stays on your machine and disappears when you clear your browser data.
